My happy place - Kauai!

Of all the islands I've visited Kauai is my favorite. There is a certain charm about it. It still has that relaxed island feel which makes you want to drive with the windows down and the breeze hitting your face. The island is magical and I've enjoyed every visit. Whether it's been a family trip, with a group or just me and my husband, its simply amazing! For this trip we went with two other couples and had a blast! Let me share some of the special points of the island!

Waimea Canyon

Canyons and Mountains

A favorite spot to visit is Waimea Canyon. I like say it looks like a mini Grand Canyon! The valley that's been carved is filled with a variety of colors...reds, browns, and lush greens. Looking at it takes your breath away and transports you to another place! Its a must see while on the island!

Of course there is nothing like the Napali Coast. You can only get to the coast by boat, helicopter or hiking. Of the three options, I've seen it by helicoptor (had to do the Jurassic Park experience) and by boat. There are a number of tours that you can take to the Napali Coast. You can snorkel, whale watch (Jan-March), etc. The cliffs are beautiful as they rise out of the sea. There are a number of water falls along the coast - some you can go under! Its magical and a must see!!

Waterfalls!!

Would a visit to Hawaii be complete if you didn't see a waterfall? I don't think so...lol Well Kauai never disappoints in this area. There are a number of waterfalls that are right off the road that you can get to with ease but others that requires a hike or helicopter ride to experience.

What beauty!!

There are so many beautiful sites around the island. I enjoy snapping pictures or taking a quick video as we are driving around! It just doesn't get any better than this!
